A very large portion of the Lake Erie shoreline and nearby lotus pond were heavily affected by beavers. Some of these fallen trees were started by beavers, but finished by park maintenance before they hurt anyone.

The beaver(s) even seem to be sharpening its/their teeth on a log, which was chewed up at both ends and had marks in the middle.

This was my first time visiting this land. There was not much wildlife activity today, but it was a dreary winter day. There was clearly an active beaver, but I couldn't make my way down the slippery slope to photograph the tree damage. I did photograph a large tree that was definitely taken down by a beaver quite a while ago.
